Lawrence Valin is a French-Tamil actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker based in Paris who represents the Tamil diaspora in French cinema. He began his career acting in French short and independent productions before directing and starring in works exploring Tamil diaspora experiences in France, most notably his feature debut Little Jaffna, a French-language film with Tamil dialogue that premiered at the Venice International Film Festival.
