Biography
Antonythasan Jesuthasan, also known by his pen name Shobasakthi, is a Sri Lankan-born French author, activist, and actor rooted in the Tamil diaspora. After fleeing the civil conflict in Sri Lanka and seeking political asylum in France, he rose to international prominence playing the title character in Jacques Audiard's French-language film Dheepan, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival and earned him a Cesar Award nomination for Best Actor.
